Since the mid 90's Al Smith has worked with over 400 bands from all genres of music including punk, indi pop, metal, doom, post rock and everything in between. Based in Perth, Western Australia, Al combines technical skills with creative input to help musicians realize their musical visions. Whether that's from the very start of the project during the recording phase or later on with professional mixing and mastering. He has also worked extensively on audio editing, compiling and restoration projects for film makers, archivists, multimedia companies and performance artists. MOBILE RECORDING
*Not currently taking bookings for any tracking sessions* Whether you want to record demo's in your rehearsal room, an EP in your lounge room or even take advantage of strange acoustics in some weirdo abandoned building, the Bergerk! Mobile Rig can be wheeled in and set up fast. Price is $320 AUD per 8 hour day. Get in contact for dates.
STUDIO MIXING
*Not currently taking bookings for mixing for the 1st half of 2023* The art of mixing is to bring all of the individual elements of a song together with cohesion and balance. I mix with digital processing techniques as well as creative vision and a good set of experienced ears. Pricing varies depending on how many songs and how long + complex they are. Expect between $180 and $300 AUD per song.
MUSIC MASTERING
The final stage to fine tune the tone and compression of the mixes so they sound great on all playback systems/speakers and online platforms. I specialize in mastering for vinyl + digital, providing you with all file formats needed. Prices will vary depending on the length of the project and formats required but expect between $100 and $150 AUD per song. Get in touch for a detailed quote.
